Hosting An OKS Sanctioned Meet
The
information below sets out the requirements for receiving USA Swimming and Oklahoma Swimming (OKS)
sanction for a swim meet to be conducted within the boundaries of OKS, and
outlines required post-meet reporting.
For
additional information, please consult Part Two of the current USA Swimming
Rules and Regulations and Section III of the OKS Policies and Procedures Manual.
1)
Send Application for Sanction form, proper fees, and meet information 60
days before the meet date.
a.
$100 for the meet (refundable – separate check)
b.
$5 for time trials (non-refundable)
2)
Send meet information to all clubs
30 days before entry deadline.
3)
The Meet Director must,
within 14 days after the meet, send the OKS
Treasurer:
·
a financial report of the meet
·
a copy of the meet announcement,
·
a copy of the meet’s final
results,
·
a heat sheet used in the meet,
and
·
two checks, one for 62.5% of the
total individual entry fees and 25% of the total relay entry fees made out to
“OKS AQUATIC FUNDS” and the other check for $2.00 times the number of
individual swimmer entered in the meet made out to “OKS RESERVE FUND.”
4) An
Accident Report form must be filed for any
accident at an OKS sanctioned event which requires first aid, requires medical
attention, or which potentially could require medical attention.
5)
The Meet Director will send a copy of the meet’s final results to:

coach or team representative of
each team entered in the meet
·
General Chair,
·
Administrative Vice Chair,
·
Program Development Vice Chair,
·
Program Operations Vice Chair,
·
Membership/Registration
Coordinator,
·
Top 16/Records Coordinator,
·
Sanctioning Coordinator (if
appointed) and
·
Masters Chairperson (if
appropriate).
